UKNCC Concludes Constructive Visit to China

From 1–5 December 2025, the UK National Committee on China (UKNCC) visited Beijing for a series of warm and candid dialogues with Chinese leaders on international and regional issues. These engagements are vital to further fostering constructive and predictable UK-China relations. UKNCC extends its gratitude to the following institutions for their support and engagement:

Delegation Leadership

The British delegation was led by UKNCC Chief Executive Ollie Shiell and UKNCC Advisory Board members Sir Andrew Cahn KCMG and Stephen Barter. These leaders bring decades of experience in UK-China relations, playing pivotal roles in supporting bilateral collaboration and constructive exploration of issues of difference.

Looking Ahead

The visit took place in the context of a potential UK Prime Minister visit to China in early 2026. Closed-door sessions were constructive, wide-ranging, friendly, and open—laying the groundwork for future collaboration, discourse and engagement.
